Rhode Islanders are finally revolting after years of living in possibly the most corrupt and organized crime-infested state in the nation. The collapse of the state's credit-union system has triggered a grass-roots reform effort. The history of the state's problems is described.

The legacy of Jonathan Daniels

Divinity student Jon Daniels died in 1965 while saving the life of Ruby Sales, a young black girl who was about to be shot by a Lowndes County, AL, deputy sheriff. His home state state of New Hampshire is now officially recognizing his role in the civil rights movement.
