The battle over American values
Article Abstract:
Changing social trends are radically altering traditional value systems. Various organizations such as the American Civil Liberties Union are instigating a massive campaign to tear down society's moral fabric. According to Gary L. Bauer, president of the Family Research Council of America, a nationwide social and moral awareness reorientation program should be implemented before traditional American values totally disappear.

The Pledge of Allegiance should reaffirm a citizen's patriotism every time it is recited. The 31 words comprising the pledge embody the ideals, the history and the ideals of liberty and justice for which the US stands and in which Americans believe.

The battle for American allegiance
Article Abstract:
Issues are presented concerning the oath of allegiance which is taken by immigrants granted citizenship of the US. The conflict of interest caused by the ability of immigrants to retain their old citizenship is discussed.
