The colors of the trees

Peter Latcho used to tell his grandchildren how beautiful were the color of the trees in Maine. He was formerly from the town of Dardha in Albania and migrated to Maine in 1908. He worked for the paper factory of Grinot Co until 1962 but went back later to his hometown when he became diabetic and blind.

Perfectly grand in Prouts Neck
Article Abstract:
American artist Winslow Homer did perhaps his best work capturing the Maine coastline in winter, in particular around Prouts Neck, where he lived the last 27 years of his life. He was particularly fond of painting when the weather was at its most rugged and foreboding.
