Instructions are provided for a secret code that changes each day of the year. To begin, each day's date is written in numbers and then placed over the word or phrase one wishes to encode. If the word is longer than the numbers, the numbers are simply repeated.

A wheel code machine allows people to create and decode messages. The device was invented in the 1400s by Leon Battista Alberti and is comprised of two wheels of different sizes. The smaller wheel is turned to create messages in code and to decode messages.

The knot code
