The Kumba at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida uses all the principles of physics utilized by roller coaster designers. The first drop uses gravity to power the ride. Velocity and inertia carry the ride through loops and corkscrews. Finally, friction causes the ride to stop.

A new experimental high-speed train will be able to negotiate turns because the train itself can lean 8 degrees to either side. High speed train technology has been limited in the US the fast trains are unable to travel on the old, curved-filled tracks prevalent in the US.
