Article Abstract:
Researchers from the International Center for Tropical Agriculture met with other agricultural community member to determine how to preserve the genetic diversity of Rwanda's crops during the civil war. Seeds of Hope was introduced to rescue, multiple and distribute seeds of the most important crops.

Glenn Stein founded the computer training program Byte Back in 1997. Developed to help lower-income adults develop more marketable skills, Byte Back offers 41 courses to students, 80% of whom are African American. It has five employees, a dozen volunteers and operates mainly in Washington, DC.
