Author's house used to be like a war zone every morning with his children fighting with each other and all the pleading, reasoning, punishing of parents did not help. Then the idea of e-mailing to his son, though it did not contain any different ideas, somehow helped changed the whole scenario.

A family was able to reduce conflict when the mother adapted to her son's Internet use. By emailing her son to explain why she did not like the way he was treating his sisters, she was able to reach him, and conflict was lessened in the house.
