The lives of journalists J. Jesus Blancornelas, Gao Yu, Veronica Guerin and Fred M'membe are portrayed. These journalists were jailed, murdered and survived assassination attempts in the course of their jobs. Like them, many other reporters have also been thrown in jail or shot at just for doing their jobs.

This is no way to fight the drug war

The effectiveness of the Baltimore City Needle Exchange Program, under which replacement syringes are distributed to drug addicts, is discussed. The program was started in 1994 in a bid to halt the spread of HIV among drug addicts through needle sharing practices.
