Article Abstract:
Volcanoes are both a beauty and a beast, enticing climbers with their verdant slopes and breathtaking views but, at the same time, can explode without warning, killing anything in the path of its hot boulders, ash, rock fragments and lava. The Philippines is home to two of these wonders of nature, Mount Mayon and Mount Pinatubo.

Allegations that six drawing owned by the J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles, California, are forgeries are examined. The former curator who determined the forgeries, Nicholas Turner, was forced to resign after a lawsuit and was silenced because of the suit. The issue of art forgeries is examined.
