The efforts and ordeal suffered by Ammie Murray in her quest to rebuild St. John Baptist Church in Dixiana, SC, which was desecrated by vandals in 1985 are described. The vandals would later smash her car, kill her dog and she had to buy a house near the police station before she accomplished the task.
