Internationally renowned scientist Charles Austell Angell notes that his interest in molten liquids at an early age was inspired by watching his father casting aluminum parts from scrap metal at home. His interest in fragile liquids endures even at age 65. Angell has witnessed the achievement of considerable progress in a field which he feels deeply privileged to be a part of as it constantly turns up surprises which make for an exciting life.
