Vintage drives: autumn in wine country
Article Abstract:
The wine road that runs along State-94 west from Defiance on the north side of Missouri River is the second-largest wine producing state, then crosses the river on State-19 south into Hermann and continues back east along State-100. Many wineries which offers free taste, gift items and wine sales and ships their wines to several states are presented and the route of these wineries are mentioned.

The Midwest salutes its Swedish roots
Article Abstract:
Festivals and fairs celebrating Swedish immigration to the Midwest will be held in Bishop Hill, IL; Lindsborg, KS; Minneapolis, MN; and Fargo, ND, in the summer and fall of 1996. A small band of Swedish immigrants founded the town of Bishop Hill in 1846.
