Raising Alexandria

Article Abstract:

Archeologists led by Jean-Yves Empereur have discovered many finds in the sea near Alexandria, Egypt, including ruins from the Pharos of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The excavation was begun when it was discovered that breakwater construction was damaging the site.
