A gray state of politics
Article Abstract:
Older people generally have little influence on politics in California, even though there are organizations campaigning on their behalf. However, California's lawmakers should not assume that the concerns of older people can be ignored indefinitely. The state's population is aging rapidly, and 25% of the population will be seniors by 2005. Lawmakers must pay more and more attention to ensuring that the needs of older people are met.
