Capital gains taxation and residential mobility in Sweden
Article Abstract:
A theoretical model was constructed and applied to the capital gains taxes in the Swedish housing market. Data from residents from 1984 to 1990 was analyzed in order to verify and give credence to existing studies which assert that capital gains taxes in the housing market result in unalterable effects. Results show that such occurrences rely on the presence of income reductions.
