Conspicuous consumption, snobbism and conformism
Article Abstract:
Conspicuous consumption is greatly affected by the behavior and number of consumers. Consumers classified as conformist have high tendency of buying conspicuous goods. Analysis also shows that monopoly regarding conspicuous consumption becomes socially desirable whenever consumers present in a place where competition policy exists are snobbish. On the other hand, monopoly becomes detrimental to social welfare whenever consumers are conformist.

Time constraints in consumption and savings behavior
Article Abstract:
An analysis of time constraint impact in consumption and savings behavior is presented. The analysis is set against a simple life-cycle model and assumes that income or wealth controls individual consumption. Since consumption involves money and time, individuals are constrained by both time and income budgets. It is shown that revisions on initial theoretical foundations for savings and taxation must be implemented.
