Mission impossible!? On the harmonization of national allocation plans under the EU emissions trading directive
Article Abstract:
European Union (EU) will implement in the beginning of 2005 a (CO)(sub 2) emissions trading scheme to promote cost-efficiency of aggregate emission abatement. Because of the incompatibility of economic efficiency and free allocation of allowances with harmonized allocation rules, the harmonization aspects of multi-jurisdictional environmental policies across EU Member States are analyzed.

Regulation of mobile telephony across the European Union: an empirical analysis
Article Abstract:
A study examining the effects of regulatory policies of European Union on the demand and prices of mobile telecommunication services in the member countries of the union is presented. It is observed in this context that liberalization is directly proportionate to demand and indirectly proportionate to prices.
