Article Abstract:
Closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance equipment, once considered to be cost-prohibitive, are emerging as preferred security systems by even small retail operations. The trend is aided by advances in technology, the availability of less costly equipment and a general acceptance by the public. Value research programs, assessments of the direct contributions derived from CCTV systems, have also convinced business ownrs on the positive impact to the bottom line of these devices.
