Public facility location and urban spatial structure: equilibrium and welfare analysis
Article Abstract:
A model of the interrelationships between the location of public facilities and the decision of firms where to locate their facilities was presented. While it can be assumed that firms would like to be as close as possible to public facilities to take advantage of the benefits and services they offer, there areother factors which firms should consider in site location. Some of these factors are transportation costs, competition from other firms, land use economics and proximity to customers.
