Article Abstract:
The nature of rebellion in failing states is considered, focusing on Nigeria to find clues to explain variations in the organization of armed groups as a step towards answering some of the questions. Nigerians have shared a legacy of economic decline, civil violence, and large-scale corruption at the official level.
