A disposable choice for hospital waste
Article Abstract:
A report on the decision of a non-profit medical institution to buy an incinerator to manage the disposal of the organization's medical waste is presented. Due to increased regulation and corporate concerns, the aging incinerator was replaced by a new one. Resulting savings have been accrued since the incinerator saves on heating, has low cost for disposal per pound, improved occupational safety and meets the requirements of emission and ash quality.
