Cut-point shift and index shift in self-reported health
Article Abstract:
A study analyzing the effects of age, gender, income, education and language on the responses of health questions is presented. By using models, it is observed that there are variations in responses to such queries, i.e., cut-point shift and index shift for age and gender, but not for other factors.

Provider-client interactions and quantity of health care use
Article Abstract:
The effects of provider-client interactions on quantity of health care use, i.e., on rationing, effort and persuasion are analyzed. The study is based on the patients receiving outpatient treatment for alcohol abuse in the Maine Addiction Treatment System.
