Incentive regulation of nursing homes
Article Abstract:
Monetary incentives in nursing homes tend to improve the quality of health care and decrease the cost of nursing care. People with major disabilities are more readily accepted by these facilities and nursing home residents have more shorter length of stay. Medicaid could have substantial amount of monetary saving if it adapted this program due to shorter stays of patients but not due to lower nursing home payments.
