Gaithersburg, MD-based IGEN International Inc.'s ORIGEN technology was used by the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRID) to develope a new test for staphylococcal enterotoxin B (SEB). The bacterium is a major cause of food poisoning and a possible biological warfare agent.
