Personality patterns of health care and industry CEOs: similarities and differences
Article Abstract:
The personality traits of CEOs of health care institutions and CEOs of general industries are compared using the Kostick Perception and Preference Inventory. Data from 32 hospital CEOs and 30 industry CEOs indicate differences in needs in terms of achievement, change, job satisfaction and peer grouping. However, the significant similarities in other aspects between the two groups imply the existence of a general personality pattern which enables these individuals to attain and excel in their current positions.
