Article Abstract:
Former Schering-Plough employee Ouida Sue Parker, in a suit against the company and Metropolitan Life Insurance, is challenging the practice of placing a time limit on group disability policy mental health benefits. Parker's case is unusual because it argues that such limits violate the Americans with Disabilities Act, which prohibits discrimination against mentally disabled employees.
