The future of property tax exemption for nonprofit health care organizations
Article Abstract:
A panel, which included Illinois Institute of Technology's Evelyn Brody and Jewish Guild for the Blind's Alan R. Morse, discussed the possible impacts of property tax exemption for nonprofit health care organizations. The increasing number of uninsured and underinsured people is one factor why this tax exmption should be approved. Difficulties involved in property tax exemption are also discussed.
