Quick home-cooked meals that are low in calories and fat are presented. One meal consists of club sandwiches made with chicken and imitation bacon bits with pickle flavored carrots and orange-flavored angel cake. The other includes Mexican corn chowder, ginger-flavored limeade and a tortilla salad.

Soy sauce is a flavorful additive to many dishes. Its strong taste means that a little goes a long way. Low-calorie recipes with soy sauce include a tamari and watercress soup, a dipping sauce for salmon potstickers, barbecued butternut squash and braised chicken.
