A culturally diverse profession?
Article Abstract:
More persons from Asian minority ethnic groups and Afro-American background should contribute to the nursing profession. Efforts are being made to make the NHS more representative to the communities and the Department of Health has announced an initiative to encourage people into training for NHS jobs.

A chance to see different systems
Article Abstract:
UK-trained nurses are in great demand in English-speaking countries and can easily gain employment in countries like the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland. A period of working abroad gives nurses a real opportunity to experience different ways of life and healthcare systems.
