A minister's response to equipment shortages
Article Abstract:
Nurses in the United Kingdom hospitals are unable to access the equipment they need, are expected to re-use equipment intended for single use, and use equipment that is broken or faulty and the equipment they have not been trained to use. It is stated that the government 's position is absolutely clear and setting up equipment libraries would help push equipment shortages up the government agenda.

Article Abstract:
National Health Service hospitals receive a good deal of their equipment from donations from the public. The author believes that hospitals are becoming too dependent on donations and do not have the funds to buy new equipment when it is needed.
