A novel program seeks to take clinical scientists off the endangered species list
Article Abstract:
The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine has created a Clinical Scientist Training Program to teach medical students how to design and implement clinical trials. Students can either earn a certificate in clinical research during their four years or can spend an additional fifth year getting both the MD degree and an MS degree in clinical research. Full-tuition scholarships will be available to help offset the financial burden of attending medical school.
