The fate of Russia
Article Abstract:
The post-Soviet Russia is searching for a new identity that is based on a national security concept emerging out of a political, economic and social consensus. The new concept must discard chauvinistic nationalism and take into consideration the historical mission of Russia, which professes a holistic approach towards human culture and civilization. An emerging Russian ideology, based on a judicious mix of modernity and tradition, may discard Western materialism and embrace a socially oriented market economy.
