A sad day for science at the FDA
Article Abstract:
The implications of the rejection by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) management of an application from its committee members to make emergency contraception for women accessible over the counter and without prescription are discussed. The FDA is thus observed to have positioned science and human concern behind considering the political pressure.

The partial death of abortion rights

The Supreme Court signaled a significant change in abortion jurisprudence on April 18, 2007 held in Gonzales v. Carhart case. The case led the federal statute outlawing the use of "partial-birth abortion" is constitutional.
