Abscesses: the result of an infection
Article Abstract:
Pockets of pus that develop usually as a result of a bacterial infection are called abscesses that can occur anywhere on the skin or inside the body such as in the lungs, abdomen or pelvis. The treatment includes draining out the pus and taking antibiotics and if untreated, the infection can spread to other areas such as the lymph nodes or even the bloodstream.
