Adjuvant therapy for breast cancer: An additional hope

Adjuvant therapy is additional treatment given when there are no visible signs of cancer and the goal is to destroy any remaining cancer cells. As cancer travels throughout the body, doctors often recommend adjuvant therapy that treats the whole body and it may consist of chemotherapy, hormonal therapy or a combination of the two.

Breast cancer and hot flashes

Hot flashes are a symptom of the menopause and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can be used to treat them. HRT is not suitable for those with breast cancer but there are other alternatives.
