Advances in the treatment of prostate cancer
Article Abstract:
Several new developments are made in the management of prostate cancer, thus active surveillance is increasingly attractive and reasonable technique for patients with low-volume, low-risk disease, while for locally advanced or localized high-risk disease, neoadjuvant and adjuvant therapies are new standard of care. Traditional hormonal treatments can possibly limit common side effects, and thus survival use of chemotherapy is established.
