An assessment tool to identify panic disorder
Article Abstract:
A questionnaire called the Anxiety Inventory appears to be an effective screening test for identifying patients with panic disorder and related conditions. A team of researchers developed the Anxiety Inventory and tested it on 20 chemical abusers and 20 psychiatric patients. The test identified 6 of the chemical abusers and 8 of the psychiatric patients as having panic disorder. Other conditions potentially identifiable with this test include depression and substance abuse.
