"Any child that is adopted from another country has special needs"
Article Abstract:
Children adopted from other countries, like any adopted children, have special needs and require specialist input to assist in promoting normal attachment. Intercountry adoption raises serious questions about global inequality, exploitation of the dispossessed, and the significance of racial and national identity and how this impacts on a family. Hence it is essential to ensure that intercountry adoption only happens when it is the best that can be done to serve the interests of any child.

Confidentiality and protection when working with under-16s
Article Abstract:
Anecdotal evidence suggest that confidentiality is the prime factor for young people attending sexual health clinics, and it was observed that when a registration scheme was set up for young people accessing free condoms from a sexual health clinic, the number of people using the service reduced dramatically. In a small pilot study carried out in three schools with a sample of 147 students aged 13-15, only 42% were ready to give personal details, and 25% were ready to give their names.
