Ashworth workers suspended as inquiry slams conditions

A report on the conditions at Ashworth psychiatric hospital revealed that many patients suffered from poor treatment, attacks and racism, and has resulted in the suspension of several staff members. The report made recommendations that included the setting up of a patient advocacy service and the hiring of more ethnic minorities.

Wrestling with demons ended in tragedy
