Assessing critical thinking in baccalaureate nursing students: a longitudinal study
Article Abstract:
Research into the attainment of critical thinking abilities of students prior to and following curriculum revision of a baccalaureate nursing course is discussed. It was found that there was a positive result from curriculum revision, with greater emphasis on critical thinking rather than memorization.

The influence of a baccalaureate program on traditional, RN-BSN, and accelerated students' critical thinking abilities
Article Abstract:
Research into the changes in critical thinking abilities of students undertaking different routes in the same baccalaureate nursing course is presented. It is concluded that students still tend to rely heavily on memorizing material, possibly because of the factual nature of nursing content.
