The nurse's role in promoting breast awareness to women
Article Abstract:
Breast awareness is recognized as part of health promotion and has replaced previous breast self-examination since it was introduced in the early 1990s along with the breast awareness five-point code to help women detect changes in their breasts. However, confusion among women still persists and hence, nurses are considered the appropriate persons for enlightening and empowering women in a non-alarmist manner on how to be breast aware.
