Behaviour modification in hyperactive children
Article Abstract:
It is vital that children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are identified and treated at an early age, before their hyperactivity becomes too established and associated with antisocial behaviour. Research undertaken in the Hampshire New Forest area indicates that home visits which involve giving specific behaviour modification advice to parents can be very beneficial in reducing the symptoms of ADHD. This can in turn play a valuable role in avoiding subsequent school failure and possible criminal activity in adult life.
