Blood cells: Part three - granulocytes and monocytes
Article Abstract:
Granulocytes are the most numerous type of white blood cell, with a lifespan in the circulation of about 6 - 12 hours while monocytes, and their derivatives macrophages and dendritic cells, are antigen-presenting cells. The monocytes are transformed into either tissue macrophages or dendritic cells, both of which migrate through their host tissue ingesting and destroying microorganisms and cellular debris and presenting antigens to cells of the immune system.

Blood cells: Part one--Bone marrow
Article Abstract:
The spongy tissue found within the intraosseous spaces of bones also called as bone marrow is described whose function is to produce blood cells through a process, haemopoiesis.
