After hours OR team? An alternative to the traditional call team resulted in increased staff satisfaction and a financial savings for one organization
Article Abstract:
The Meadville Medical Center in Pennsylvania proposed to have an after hours OR team to simultaneously reduce the cost and also boost the morale of the staff. This alternative arrangement satisfied some of the OR staff who looked at the extra hours as a way of reaping extra income.
