CD40 antibody evokes a cytotoxic T-cell response that eradicates lymphoma and bypasses T-cell help
Article Abstract:
CD40 antibody has been found to evoke a cytotoxic T-cell response that eradicates lymphoma and bypasses T-cell help. In a study it has been seen that when antibody against CD40 is used to treat mice with syngeneic lymphoma, a rapid cytotoxic T-cell response independent of T-helper cells takes place, with expansion by a factor of 10 in CD8(super.+) T cells over 5 days.

T-cell stimulation: an abundance of B7s
Article Abstract:
Four B7 proteins have been discovered and there may be others. These proteins bind to T cells and provide the co-stimulatory signal that activates them to recognize a particular antigen. Research on this topic could uncover treatments for graft rejection and autoimmune disease.
