Case 9-2006: A 35-year-old woman with recurrent right-upper-quadrant pain
Article Abstract:
The case history of a 35-year-old woman with recurrent right-upper-quadrant pain who has been referred to the Massachusetts General Hospital is presented. The case provides an opportunity to discuss the differential diagnosis of biliary-tract obstruction in patients who come from a tropical area and three main issues are considered such as stone-related disease, duct-related disease and processes associated with extrinsic compression of ducts.

Case 1-2006: A 64-year-old male lung-transplant recipient with fever, cough, hemoptysis, and abdominal pain
Article Abstract:
A case study of a 64-year old man with emphysema suffering from cough, hemoptysis, and abdominal pain considering its different diagnosis, clinical diagnosis, and the general pathological discussion is presented. Tests reveal that infection with cytomegalovirus (CMV) could easily be responsible for all of the clinical abnormalities in this patient with the exception of the hemoptysis.

A 47-year-old woman with multilobar pulmonary consolidation
Article Abstract:
A 47-year-old woman was diagnosed with cytomegalovirus and aspergillus infection in her lungs. She had a history of asthma, chronic obstructive lung disease, and recurrent pneumonia. She died from drug-resistant pneumonia and multi-organ failure.
