Congress weighs bill to stop Medicare 4.4% payment cut

Members of Congress in both the House and Senate are considering ways to prevent a 4.4 percent cut in physician Medicare payments that are schedule to go into effect on 1st March 2003, and to freeze rates at 2002 levels for one year.
