Cranial skeletal biology
Article Abstract:
The molecular mechanism inducing chondrogenesis and osteogenesis in cranial neural cells are distinct form those operating in mesodernal cells. Cranial-specific pathways can prevent or atleast mitigate cranial skeletal anomalies and enhance cranial skeletal repair.

Functional skeletal muscle regeneration from differentiating embryonic stem cells
Article Abstract:
The application of the differentiation of embryonic stem (ES) cells for functional skeletal muscle regeneration and for isolating the muscle progenitors is discussed. The ES cells are found to be extremely useful for the treatment of muscular dystrophy.

Deciphering skeletal patterning: clues from the limb
Article Abstract:
The mechanism of limb patterning is explored by one of the most informative approaches to perturb limb development and then the effect on skeletal pattern is also assessed. Proposed models for how limb skeletal pattern is established is presented.
