Carnosine is a type of dipeptide that is found in the skeletal muscle, the heart and the brain. It consists primarily of beta-alanyl-L-histidine. It has the ability to heal wounds, buffer pH, influence immuno enhancement and improve muscle function and recovery.

Satellite cells: training these fibers can lift off new muscle growth

Muscle growth and developement may be caused by the proliferation of satellite cells, which are capable of fusing with muscle fibers to support hypertrophy and hyperplasia. Satellite cells have also been found to facilitate the repair of damaged muscle fibers.
