'Achieving a timely, simple discharge from hospital' a timely toolkit for the multi-disciplinary team states that 80% of hospital discharges are simple and should be carried out by nurses who receive development and training in this area. Smoothing the process of arranging tests and preparing requirements such as transport home is a goal, which depends on the multidisciplinary team, patients and relatives for its success.

Tim Bennett shares his experiences and feelings after receiving the NT Award for Agency Nurse of the year, 2007 for his excellent health care of patients with complex neurological conditions. Bennett says that more than the money, it was the faith of other people in him that made him proud and happy.
